Is Malaysia prone to a Recession Hit soon?

Updated: Sep 29, 2020

Being a trade-reliant country, with the trade accounting for 131% of its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) we can imagine what a global recession will do to us.

With key economic data worldwide continuing to disappoint amid the coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak, experts say the worst is yet to come. We could already see several major trading partners of the country which includes – US, China and Singapore severely affected.

Experts also believe Malaysia has all the co-factors for a significant negative impact from Covid-19, because we are small and open economy which highly dependent on International Trade.

Crisis has two sides – danger and opportunity. At Monest we educate our people on how to analyse the opportunities during crisis and how to minimize the danger of risk. We would not elude our people with only promising them profit instead we make them understand how to make significant profit with minimal risk.
